Wonderware Application Server 2012 is an industrial automation and SCADA application server within the Wonderware System Platform. It provides a model-driven, object-oriented environment to design, deploy, and manage distributed supervisory control applications across plants and enterprises. Engineers build reusable templates for equipment and processes, store them in a central repository (the Galaxy), and deploy standardized instances across multiple nodes. The platform supports real-time data acquisition via industry-standard protocols (including OPC), comprehensive alarm and event management, role-based security integrated with Windows, and redundancy for high availability. It integrates tightly with InTouch for visualization and Wonderware Historian for data storage and reporting, and includes scripting and configuration tools to customize logic and workflows.
